Alternative Routes During Closures

During the night closures, the following alternative routes are available:

1. San Bernardino Route (A13)

This route runs from Chur to Bellinzona and is a common detour, especially for heavy traffic.

2. Gotthard Pass Road

In the summer months, if open, the pass road offers a scenic alternative. However, it is less suitable for vehicles with trailers and is closed during the winter due to snow.

3. Simplon Pass

Under certain conditions, the Simplon Pass can also be used as an alternative route, especially when other roads are congested.
